Dotdotdot is born out of a longing for a space/platform that is truly open and accessible to early career artists / underrepresented practices - specifically casting a spotlight on those emerging in the craft field.
Working with artists that have a material based practice that doesn’t necessarily fit into the traditional bracket of craft. Reflecting the fluid, inter-disciplinary and constantly evolving nature of this ‘new craft’ movement and to give a voice to it.
Dotdotdot launched after we found ourselves longing for a stage to bridge the gap between art school and art world. Realising there were few places that offered an answer to the question ‘what do I do now?’
The 3 founding members of dotdotdot are
Amy Worrall, Petter Rhodiner and Lisa Juntunen Roos
Two recent graduates and one current student of the Craft! Master program at Konstfack, with a shared vision for the future of craft.
We will alternate between exhibitions with pre selected artists and ‘Open Calls’ where we ask a broader category of artists to apply for group exhibitions and specific events. These open calls both serve as a way for us to find artists that might not be on our radar yet but also a way for us to spot trends in the field of craft that will feed into our selected exhibits as time goes on.
