SWEDISH GIRLS & BOYS

2021, Swedish Girls was invited to be a part of the yearly Summer Exhibition in Stockholm curated by Stockholm Konst. The theme for the exhibition was democracy. 100 years after Swedish women gained the right to vote. Swedish Girls created a site specific installation beside Stockholms Rådhus, the City Court, and also invited the female graffiti collective BOYS to a continuous visual discussion on the topic of democracy and what’s considered art. The work is created to symbolize and function as a point of connection between practices and people. The graffiti is created for the exhibition at Kongernes Lapidairum during 3 days of Design in Copenhagen.
