The American artist Swoon, whose real name is Caledonia Curry, began as a street artist in the industrial district of Brooklyn and Manhattan around 2000. Today she works both in urban spaces as in museums and other places. She makes drawings, linoleum and cut paper patterns pasted on walls. Her work often consists of large portraits inspired by people she meets everyday. In her work, she examines the social issues of our time, and environmental and climate change.
