Six colored line drawings form a visual commemoration of a residency in Kōfu, Japan. Seated in a basin surrounded by mountains this small city provided a long missed sense of connection between mind, body and nature. Documenting and editing together visual and visceral impressions of these surroundings had a lasting effect on Ulrikas relation to drawing.
Four cut-out collages and a pair of textile tapestries are experiments of shape- and colour executed by letting the cutting hand make the round curves and sharp edges that feel most natural with a pair of scissors in hand. The shapes are then organised and layered until a satisfying choreography emerges.
