The celebrated film director Ruben Östlund was so fascinated by the pile of chairs in Carl Hammound's painting The Protests he decided to make a real-life copy of the chair pile for one of his movies.
On 25 of March, Galleri Magnus Karlsson opens Carl Hammoud's Stumble, the gallery's fifth exhibition with the artist. Stockholm native Hammoud visited the movie set to see and photograph the depiction of his chair pile, which now stands as motif for his new set of paintings.
