Galerie Nordenhake presents the exhibition by Bernard Kirschenbaum, the swedish-american sculptor who had a great insight into the «divine geometry», expressing his poetic interest in architectural geometry.
In every work by Kirschenbaum, there is a visible connection between art and science. As every artist comes to the point of making a self-portrait, in 1980 he created it in the form of 13 polygons interlaced with each other; in 2012 he programmed computer code to make eight drawings again with the polygons as the basic elements. Kirschenbaum was also interested in his Jewish heritage and expressed it in his work referring to Kabbala.
His works are the mixture between divine and geometrical, between irrational and rational.
