The exhibition consists of a series of abstract paintings. This is an Interplay between chance, structure, spatiality and time. Different variations of directions connect in subtle constellations and in drastic cuts. Daily impressions are filtered through the painter's hand out onto the canvas, consisting of both transparent and opaque color layers. A movement emerges in the encounter between lines and surfaces.
The exhibition aims to explore our perception. The perspective becomes interpretable, light and depth are forced together in a predetermined composition. By following the same process of self-imposed rules, in a repetitive way, the result becomes unique with the common factor that each painting is one square meter and has the same geometric structure. Contradictions appears within the symmetry. Are we looking at something or are we looking through something?
Place: The Staircase Gallery at Konstfack. The exhibition is open 22–28 November, Monday–Thursday 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday–Sunday 12 to 4 pm.
