The interest in ambivalent states and finding the intermediate positions are exposed in 'Half an Angel', the golden sculpture of the young boy posing with one arm behind its head like a wing, literally resembling an angel.
Other focus is youth, which always fascinated artists through years is expressed in Miesenberger’s androgynous sculptures simultaneously addressing to gender and sexuality. Maria’s works are all full of contrasts, ambiguity and seamless transitions.
