David Svensson is known as the artist who experiments with carpets. As a child he would spend time at home, sitting on the floor and draw lines in the carpet with his fingers. Something that may years later came to form his artistic expression during his studies.
In the current exhibition at Galleri Ping Pong in Malmö, Svensson has worked with velvet and its ability to capture and reflect ambient light. Also in the gallery, in the same show is Eric Lenght's rock paintings that are blackened with fire and sprinkled with ash and salt. Overall, a refreshing exhibition at Stora Nygatan in Malmö.
