Anna Tedestam is interested in the abandonment of materials and dissolved sensory places. By re-inventing form or function, she creates alternative worlds. The bustling organic expression is important, just as the structures and free forms, but also the recognizable. History can be found in the details, and it is given as a reward to the viewer. The sculptures range from imaginative underwater worlds to buildings with inside or outside perspective while her painting can be interpreted as fragments of monumental landscapes. Jonas Törnkvist - walks in nature, collecting impressions. Back in his studio, he focuses on his experiences and explores the question: How does a memory feel? What does it look like when it is reduced to form, color and texture? Jonas’ paintings move between the abstract and the figurative. When the playfulness and spontaneity arise, the creative process works best and the representational and the abstract merge. "I build up in layers on the canvas, as transparent memories. Suddenly there’s a tree in the way, and everything stops."
