This survey features photo-based works by thirteen artists living in the Nordic countries, with the majority of them having been born elsewhere. A group show putting together works by artists only based on their domestic residence could present problems, but this show still manages to convey an essential sense of our current period of time. Unquestionably it reflects the diversity of contemporary photography. The organizers behind this show are Olso Kunstforening, Fotografisk Center, Copenhagen, Museum of Photography, Helsinki and Kalmar Konstmuseum. All four are art institutions with a high profile in the Nordic region, and the show will travel to all these sites.
