'Yogurt', 2020, ett konstverk av Hrik
Yogurt, 2020

20 x 20 x 1 cm

This small acrylic-on-acrylic (not framed) depicts the Greek man used to sell Turkish Yogurt in Sweden. Little known fact: these days he’s dyed his beard green and lives on a beach on Ko Pha-ngan.
Yogurt is my smallest piece yet. And this was actually - in a way - the first painting of The Akashic Records collection. It was the first in terms of the Process and the techniques used.
I started out painting the original underlying Yogurt man, but then I had to let it marinade for quite a while (while finishing up both The Swan and Kali Parton). Then I felt I really found a style I liked, a form, and a true expression!

Then I went back to finish up Yogurt with the neon paint. The reason he got the green beard was actually for aesthetic reasons initially, but with the Asian look it got as a result, the backstory about him going to Thailand to find himself was created. However - the nature of it, the part with the old Greek man being portrayed as Turkish to sell yogurt - the transformation for commercial gain, has been there all along.
Yogurt is unsigned.

This pierce comes unframed, on stretched canvas, and that is how it’s sold and shipped.
If you are interested in acquiring this piece, I’m happy to supply additional pics, and answer any questions.
