An image from Olga Bubich’s photoseries "Bigger than I" (2000-2019). It was taken in 2012 during one of the humanitarian missions organized by the Belarussian association "Hope for the Future". In the image a girl from the village Buda Ljushevskaya sees the sea for the first time. To me it looks symbolically representing the state many Ukranian and Belarussian kids are now - forced to leave their homes due to the dictatorial regimes and the aggressions of alien states. The Ukranians - because of the war, the Belarussians - because of the ongoing political repressions.

The image was shown at group and solo exhibitions in Germany and Belarus.
