I create objects on the border between useful and suggestive, that play with shapes from the inside of the body. Since organs are the body´s recognizable structures that perform specific functions, they represent the great similarity between bodies. The core of my art is the political and psychological aspect of body ideals - the ideals that transform the identity of the self into an objectification of the body. By reshaping this bodily focus, I want to blur the line between subject and object, when internal organs are exposed as ornaments. The concept can also be described as a study of self-contempt, which I find in the hybrid between the disgusting and the beautiful. My focus is always the tactile, both during the creation process and in the finished works.
